About The Position

This senior-level role manages cost management activities for one or multiple complex projects. The analyst works with senior project managers, clients, and other key stakeholders to support strategic cost plans throughout the project lifecycle, from early phases through closeout. In collaboration with the Senior Project Manager and/or Project Controls Manager, the role develops plans for long-term project support, including building, managing, and reporting cost reports and analyses. The position requires exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of related experience working as a cost management expert on capital projects, including design and construction phases.
• Direct experience working on teams in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Expertise using Excel.
• Construction industry experience required.
• Exemplary oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Additional life sciences experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish the cost management program and deliverables for large-scale capital programs, including tools, technology, processes, and procedures.
• Integrate third-party plans and cost components into an integrated cost plan.
• Lead detailed analysis for project managers, clients, construction managers, engineering teams, and other third parties regarding cost risks, issues, and mitigations.
• Drive project accruals and forecasting, including detailed monthly, biweekly, and/or weekly processes as required.
• Support the risk management process and plan.
• Support facilitation of quantitative risk assessments when required.
• Develop and lead the earned value component of complex manufacturing programs.
• Support development of the project control and project execution plan.
• Review and approve invoices from subcontractors and third parties.
• Assist with development of RFPs, RFQs, and other project-related contract negotiations.
• Drive development of project estimates.
• Drive the value engineering process.
• Assist in developing cost management procedures for Cushman & Wakefield and clients as required.
