About The Position

ReNuke Services is seeking a Project Controls Cost Analyst II for our client's site in Charlotte, NC. This is a full-time, hybrid position with 3 days per week in the office. This is an intermediate-level position on a Project Controls team. Workers at this level are responsible for initiating and completing routine aspects of project control assignments with general oversight. This individual will be expected to work with a small team of Project Controls Analysts and Schedulers. This position will perform cost analysis, forecasting, change control, and reporting for a portfolio of projects budgeted to spend tens of millions during the fiscal year. They must be able to compare monthly actuals to the project baseline, identify variances, while simultaneously monitoring the projects' baseline plans and the fiscal budget. Generate Periodic Project Controls Analytics. Create periodic project analysis of gathered data through verification and validation in order to support project controls metrics. Responsible for distributing and archiving project controls analysis as appropriate. This position will work in partnership with a more experienced Project Controls lead. A basic understanding of budgets, direct and indirect labor charges, accruals, overheads, amortization, allocations are a critical knowledge requirement. The individual selected for this role must have strong problem-solving skills and technical skills with the proven ability to integrate large amounts of data from multiple databases or systems.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a two-year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of project controls experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project controls experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Working knowledge of project controls principles.
  • Working Knowledge to Proficiency with project management / project controls concepts / computer applications such as scheduling software, financial tools, spreadsheets.
  • Proven collaborative team member.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Technical skills with the proven ability to integrate large amounts of data from multiple databases or systems.
  • Basic understanding of budgets, direct and indirect labor charges, accruals, overheads, amortization, allocations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a PMO environment or on a project controls team.
  • Exposure to energy-related projects.
  • Graduation from a four-year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent.
  • PMI or AACE certification (PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, AACE-EVP).
  • Demonstrated proficiency using software such as MS Project, Primavera, Business Objects, Passport, MS Office Suite, Prolog, Visio, Access, Powerplant, Maximo, PeopleSoft.
