Requirements

  • post-secondary education in engineering
  • 2–5 years of experience working in project controls or a similar capacity within a general contractor environment
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities
  • Must be able to work on site in Port Colborne, Ontario

Responsibilities

  • Fundamental understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to measure actual project performance against a baseline (cost and schedule)
  • Supporting change management process by liaising with the owner, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Assisting with prime billing, subcontractor billing, and PO processes
  • Supporting owner cost reporting and cash flow preparation/updates
  • Familiarity with concepts such as ETC, EAC, accruals, etc.
  • Ability to create a WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) in collaboration with Project Managers and technical subject matter experts
  • Ability to analyze processes, optimize them, and build systems to support those processes
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and traceability of project controls data within the systems in place
