Requirements

post-secondary education in engineering
2–5 years of experience working in project controls or a similar capacity within a general contractor environment
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities
Must be able to work on site in Port Colborne, Ontario

Responsibilities

Fundamental understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to measure actual project performance against a baseline (cost and schedule)
Supporting change management process by liaising with the owner, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
Assisting with prime billing, subcontractor billing, and PO processes
Supporting owner cost reporting and cash flow preparation/updates
Familiarity with concepts such as ETC, EAC, accruals, etc.
Ability to create a WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) in collaboration with Project Managers and technical subject matter experts
Ability to analyze processes, optimize them, and build systems to support those processes
Ensure quality, consistency, and traceability of project controls data within the systems in place
