This is for a site-based position in the Fort Saskatchewan region. We are seeking candidates interested in either a contractor or hourly staff role. The Project Controls Coordinator for PCL Industrial Management Inc. participates and leads a multi-disciplinary project controls team, collaborates with the construction/project manager and project team, and analyzes and communicates trending schedule, progress, and cost information to project personnel. They also supervise, direct, coach, train, and mentor the project team and superintendents on the same site or multiple sites, as it relates to project controls. The role involves communicating with project teams to define scope of work, need for change to budgets and schedules, and identification of variances from the original plan. Additionally, the Project Controls Coordinator participates in the project scope and change management process, ensures accurate completion and issuance of estimates or impact analyses to partners, and provides input towards monthly cost and schedule reports and other key management reports. They create project weekly and monthly progress reports, understand and interpret productivity rates or own forces work (OFW), Labor Cost Reports (LCRs), and can interpret cost reports. The role adheres to project control processes and procedures and applies change management principles to identify, evaluate, document, and track scope changes, ensuring impacts to cost, schedule, and productivity are effectively communicated and managed.
