AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Analyst II to be based in San Diego, CA. This role involves working with the company's financial and cornerstone systems and processes, applying financial terminology, measures, and data analysis concepts. The analyst will recognize processes or project actions that may lead to financial impact, develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for small projects, and assist in using drawings and specifications for establishing project baseline data. The position includes performing basic analysis of cost and schedule variances, developing knowledge of accounting principles, and assisting in assembling data for trending and forecasting. The analyst will understand progress/performance data and associated concepts, participate in collecting progress data, and review performance trends. Familiarity with earned value, scope control, and change management concepts is expected. The role involves collecting data and producing initial analysis on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations, as well as tracking actual costs to funding limitations. Support will be provided for tracking purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures. Familiarity with project revenue and cost concepts, basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, performance management, and cost/schedule integration is required. The analyst will develop knowledge of scope control and change management and support the project reporting process, potentially participating in project cost review meetings.
