About The Position

A Project Controller is the "navigator" of a project’s lifecycle, ensuring that complex initiatives stay on track, on time, and within baseline. While the Program Manager focuses on leading people and overall execution, the Project Controller focuses on the data, analyzing costs, program tasks, and schedule status to provide a transparent picture of project health. They use tools, metrics and techniques to report on variances and earned value. The Project Controller will report to the Head of Program Management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Project Management
10–12 years of experience in project controls or cost engineering.
Mastery of MS Project and Earned Value Management (EVM).
Strong communication skills to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

May have professional certification such as AACE CCP (Certified Cost Professional) or PMP (Program Management Professional).

Responsibilities

Establishing the project’s baseline schedule and cost.
Managing the "Commitment" vs. "Actual" expenditure, ensuring that the project remains financially viable throughout its duration.
Developing and maintaining the project’s Integrated Master schedule (IMS).
Identifying the "Critical Path"—the sequence of stages that determines the minimum time needed for the project—and alert program management if any link in the chain is slipping.
Utilizes the industry-standard EVM method to measure project performance.
Comparing the value of work actually performed against the planned value to mathematically predict the final cost and completion date.
Looking ahead to predict future performance based on current data.
Identifying trends and provide "What-If" scenarios to help program management make informed course corrections.
