At Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects, you’ll help develop and deliver the factories, grids, transit systems, and public infrastructure that keep communities moving - and do it smarter, safer, and more sustainably than ever before. You’ll work alongside people who think big and act bold - project managers, engineers, technologists, and strategists who blend real-world experience with digital innovation and AI. Together, we’re transforming how capital projects are planned, managed, and executed, creating a better way to build for the future. This role involves demonstrating project controls expertise gained from Utility New Gas Generation projects and providing direct oversight, coaching, and support to Project Controls Specialists throughout the project lifecycle. You will integrate with and support the Project Management team to ensure successful execution of assigned projects, promote safe behavior, and ensure adherence to all safety rules on the project. You will implement Accenture and client Project Management Standards in cost, schedule, scope, WBS, risk, and issues management to ensure projects achieve business goals on time and within budget. You will ensure comprehensive project controls are in place—including cost, schedule, scope, and risk—and validate that contract agreements and contractor execution align with project controls requirements. You will perform rigorous and independent project assessments to ensure compliance with the Stage Gate Process (SGP) and project management standards. You will conduct training on clients’ SGP, project management standards, implementation guides, and project controls disciplines such as Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA). You will assist in portfolio analysis, optimization, and reporting, including risk assessments for completing planned scopes of work in alignment with multi-year budget plans. You will prepare and maintain cost reports and forecasts with Cost Analysts, validate Estimate to Completion and Estimate at Completion forecasts, and conduct contingency analyses and reporting. You will perform schedule analytics to evaluate schedule quality, assess progress, monitor contractor compliance with schedule-related contractual requirements, and report performance. You will collaborate with project managers and teams to identify, document, and mitigate risks, manage the Change Management process, and track approved project changes, with work performed in both office and field settings. You will utilize project management and project controls expertise as well as business acumen and experience to provide SME-level project management, controls, and business case guidance to project team members. The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
