About The Position

Employee-Owned Premier Countertop Company is looking for a Project Consultant for a growing company in Syracuse. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. The primary responsibility is to respond to customer inquiries regarding product offerings, company services, product pricing, order status, and delivery schedules. The role requires providing excellent customer service by utilizing in-depth knowledge of company products, services, and product specifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous sales experience strongly preferred.
• Previous experience quoting jobs required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills to interact with customers, vendors and co-workers in a professional and helpful manner in person or via phone or written correspondence.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to persuade and influence others.
• Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to send/receive email messages, post information to a database or spreadsheet, and perform basic word processing and/or data entry.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on customer inquiries for product offerings, pricing, and delivery information.
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, mail, fax and showroom visits and prepare sales quotes for current and/or potential customers.
• Interface with production staff to discuss customer requirements and/or product specifications.
• Review customer specifications, layouts, and product dimensions to develop product pricing and convey information to customers as requested.
• Meet with clients in showroom, explain materials, edges, options, and show them materials.
• Respond to customer requests for product samples and ensure samples are delivered within requested time frame.
• Perform related duties as required to meet department and/or company objectives.
