About The Position

Armitage Architecture Inc. (Armitage) provides multidiscipline engineering, technical, management, and professional services to federal, commercial, and private sectors. Our mission is to provide our clients professional services utilizing innovative technologies and proven management systems to help within architecture, design, and construction projects for our clients. We are looking to hire an experienced Project / Construction Coordinator to provide administrative support, project support, and document control support for key projects. In this role, you will be required to consult with company senior and technical staff, clients, and customers technical project site personnel & representatives, subcontractors while collecting, costing data, and provide accurate and concise estimates for project bidding with Project Managers or the CFO.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalency with 5+ year’s experience
  • Proven work experience in a Construction/Engineering Company.
  • Advanced level of computational and mathematical skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills within a collaborative team environment.
  • Able to work under pressure and in tight time constraints situations.
  • Highly Proficient with computer estimation software including Microsoft Office Suite of Programs.
  • Bid and Proposal narrative and development.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship will be required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard subcontractors as we are awarded new jobs and to make sure they get the clearances they require to be on the job sites.
  • Prepare and send Subcontractor Agreements and onboarding forms out to Subcontractors on each job.
  • Help facilitate the negotiations of the Agreement between the Subcontractor, President and CFO.
  • Create a Project Management Excel Dashboard for each job.
  • Frequent contact with Subcontractors to submit needed onboarding paperwork.
  • Instruct and assist Subcontractors on how to gain clearance and badging for jobs.
  • Submit needed paperwork on behalf of Armitage Architecture employees for clearance and badging on each job.
  • Take and email out Meeting notes at Preconstruction Meetings, if applicable.
  • Assist on very small tasks related to subcontractor submittals, when necessary.
  • Miscellaneous Administrative Tasks
  • Support the Armitage assigned project manager (PM) in Reviewing expenditure and cost statements during all phases of the project.
