About The Position

The Project Buyer will monitor market conditions and purchase when prices are favorable. He will study trends to identify and resolve potential supply chain issues. Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, contract management, and supplier development.
  • You have a growth mindset, with a passion for learning.
  • You are organized, technically savvy, with a knack for generating solutions.
  • Understanding of contract language.
  • Experience in sourcing parts for product development.
  • Understanding of basic inventory management concepts.
  • Knowledge of logistics (Incoterms, transport modes, transport times).
  • Master the French and English language (suppliers/customers in the United States).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure supply of materials based on customer requirements at the lowest cost while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
  • Early engagement of procurement and suppliers in the product development/manufacturing process as well as monitoring current products in order to minimize the overall costs.
  • Develop and execute cost reduction strategies working closely with Strategic Sourcing Manager.
  • Ensure a continuous flow of new suppliers for the commodity.
  • Ensure periodic business reviews with the key suppliers.
  • Support supplier management processes, (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development).
  • Collaborate with supply chain team to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Draft proposals to manage contracts and negotiations.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure that the supply chain is stable as possible.
  • Evaluating market conditions to mitigate risk, maintain optimal inventory levels, and control costs.
  • Drive supplier performance, contract effectiveness, collaboration, and integration.
  • Develop and solicit RFP, analyze submissions, form recommendations for review with Program Management Team.
  • All other related tasks are considered part of the role and may be assigned as needed.
