About The Position

Mayvin is seeking a Project Billing Specialist to join our on-site Corporate Accounting team in Alexandria, VA. This role is ideal for a motivated professional looking to build a career in government contracting finance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be eligible for a DOD Secret clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Experience supporting government contracting finance or accounting
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in government contracting finance
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be eligible for a DOD Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

Experience billing Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, and/or Cost-Reimbursable contracts
Experience with Unanet, Deltek Costpoint, or another government contracting accounting system

Responsibilities

Prepare and submit accurate customer invoices in accordance with contract requirements
Support project financial management, including project setup, contract maintenance, reporting, and financial reconciliation
Review direct costs and expense reports for proper coding, FAR compliance, and adherence to company policies
Assist with project financial planning and business management activities throughout the contract lifecycle
Research discrepancies, recommend solutions, and resolve financial issues
Support the Corporate Accounting team with financial reporting and other accounting functions
