About The Position

The Frank OCD Lab is seeking a full-time Project Assistant to conduct research involving qualitative and quantitative analysis of clinical data from participants with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). The lab focuses on understanding the biology of OCD and improving treatment outcomes through wearable devices and neuromodulation. Current projects include neuroimaging in adults with OCD, biobehavioral measures using biosensors, genetic underpinnings of OCD, and technology use in mental healthcare. The Project Assistant will gain valuable experience in clinically oriented research.

Requirements

  • Reliable, independent worker
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, psychology, neuroscience, or a related field
  • Computer programming skills in Matlab, Python, or R are preferred
  • Experience working with clinical populations is a plus
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience
  • Knowledge of data collection procedures
  • Some experience with proposal preparation and production of technical documents

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to research study participant recruitment and screening
  • Assist with study participant enrollment and onboarding on the USC Health Sciences Campus
  • Assist with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
  • Assist in providing oversight and guidance to junior lab members
  • Work with the team to develop realistic but ambitious timelines
