As a community, the University of Rochester is defined by a deep commitment to Meliora - Ever Better. Embedded in that ideal are the values we share: equity, leadership, integrity, openness, respect, and accountability. Together, we will set the highest standards for how we treat each other to ensure our community is welcoming to all and is a place where all can thrive. We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and engaging instructor to serve as a Latin Dance Study Instructor for an 8-week research study examining the impact of a Latin dance intervention on loneliness among adult cancer survivors. In this role, the instructor will work collaboratively with the research team and fellow instructors to prepare and co-lead structured, evidence-informed dance sessions while supporting study-related activities throughout the intervention period. The instructor will play a key role in creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages participant engagement, promotes physical activity, and is responsive to the unique needs of a clinical population. This position requires teaching twice-weekly, 60-minute classes over the 8-week study period, for a total of 32 sessions. In addition to leading classes, the instructor will contribute to session planning, attend study-related meetings as needed, and ensure adherence to study protocols and participant safety guidelines.
