About The Position

The Engineering Project Assistant is to coordinate and maintain the permitting process that includes but not limited to researching permitting jurisdictions, preparing the staking sheets, and permit applications. Provides support in the engineering department such as draft, design, organizing documentation, and communication throughout the project.

Requirements

  • Initiative (Self-Starter).
  • Strong time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be organized.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products and Smartsheet.
  • Knowledge in Auto Cad- 3D, Google Earth, ESRI products (Arc Pro, Field Maps, Survey 123).
  • High School Diploma or GED Required

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field.
  • Utility and or Telecommunications industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the team with handling the permitting process.
  • Draft and design in Auto Cad and/or Arc Pro.
  • Research permit jurisdiction for all current and upcoming projects.
  • Organize all project documentation.
  • Handles all permit deliverables to clients from engineering to construction.
  • Provides professional communication, follow-through, and possible in person meetings with clients.
  • Supports the department by going to job sites and capturing needed data
