About The Position

The Engineering Project Assistant is responsible for providing onsite hardware development support for Resilient Connectivity Products (RCP). You will be responsible for assisting engineers with ordering and kitting parts, coordinating builds, managing short lead time requests, creating and managing parts tracking spreadsheets, working with purchasing to obtain quotes and lead times, coordinating shipments, working with Customer Owned Property, and other general support as requested within the hardware engineering teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, proactive, able to work with engineering to meet multiple deadlines, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is a proven multi-tasker with a strong attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all RCAST hardware material change requests
  • Manage new material added in RCAST to be approved for Information Systems
  • Work with security to create IS tags
  • Maintain JIRA records on IS for all deployed hardware and test fixtures
  • Track assets and audit material in labs
  • Act as POC for new hardware. Coordinate distribution of material and IS tags to the correct contacts
  • JIRA usage/status management. Maintain JIRA with asset location, owner, use case, functional status, etc.
  • Order hardware and kit parts. Track lead status through procurement
  • Create delivery documents and coordinate with shipping department to ensure successful delivery of product
  • Work with Customer Owner Property for inductions and consumption of material including ordering and tracking
  • Hand carry material between sites as needed
  • Facilitate meetings with hardware suppliers
  • Assist program engineering with OPSEC briefings
  • Lead hardware PREP reviews and submit SCL releases
