About The Position

We are looking for a Project Architect to provide leadership in architectural design and technical development from conception through construction for a diverse range of public assembly building types. Our preferred candidate has excellent leadership skills and 7+ years of professional architectural experience.

Requirements

  • Proficient in inventive and creative design thinking, collaborative problem-solving, architectural production, spatial and environmental design, story development, and delivering high-quality design solutions.
  • Exceptional sketching and freehand drawing skills, capable of producing quick and impactful sketches to effectively communicate and sell design concepts.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and team-oriented mindset that encourages effective collaboration.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Professional Degree in Architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch) from an accredited program.
  • 7+ years of professional architecture experience.
  • Registered Architect with a current license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with rendering and 3D modeling software, including 3DS Max, SketchUp, and Maxwell Render is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Revit and Bluebeam are preferred as well as expertise in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • NCARB registration is preferred.
  • LEED certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualizing and developing design ideas, generating diagrams, digital models, presentation materials and providing production work for projects.
  • Participating in design reviews and providing feedback on early-stage design concepts.
  • Preparing and delivering design presentations to clients, communities, and other pertinent stakeholders, including public agencies.
  • Production of design development and construction documents, models, and construction details and drawings in accordance with project specifications, established standards and technical expertise.
  • Conducting or assisting with operational and design research to validate the feasibility of design and ensure compliance.
  • Direct collaboration with clients across project phases, acting as an intermediary between the client and design team.
  • Promoting ongoing communication and collaboration with Project Leadership.
  • Supporting Project Managers in the construction administration process.
