About The Position

Taylor Design, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking Healthcare Project Architects to join their Sacramento office. This role is for a technical quality leader within a design team, requiring expertise in architectural design, construction documents, construction, building codes, and project coordination, particularly with healthcare projects. The position involves working on award-winning projects with a team of dedicated professionals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent educational experience.
Registered Architect in the State of California.
Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a professional architectural office setting.
Good to excellent Revit knowledge as well as MS Suite.
Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Health Care or Science and Technology a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Effectively coordinate own work and the work of others using BIM and other design technology tools.
Assist in ensuring compliance with design intent and that work is completed efficiently.
Coordinate with the Project Manager or Project Architect to ensure project resources are scheduled and used effectively.
Communicate with consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and project team to clarify technical issues and share project information.
Produce design and construction documents, and work towards a complete understanding of jurisdictional code issues and resolutions.
Actively participate in researching construction materials, assemblies, and details.
Be responsible for quality control of own work and maintaining Taylor Design office standards for documentation.
Participate in the on-going development of firm-wide BIM applications, tools, templates, and processes.
Actively participate in QA reviews of technical documents.
