As a Project Archaeologist, responsibilities include, but not limited to: The completion of SHPO file reviews cultural resources including archaeological resources and built environment resources Unsupervised Phase I archaeological surveys Construction monitoring Authoring of reports for section 106 compliance to SHPO and THPO standards Travel to project sites may include overnight stays. Overall travel requirements average about 2 days a week.
