Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Archaeology or a related field.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Online for fieldwork and data management.
  • Experience with federal and state cultural resource permitting.
  • Familiarity with GPS equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

  • Archaeological field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and right-of-way specialists to address environmental and cultural resource considerations.
  • Coordinate with federal and state agencies to ensure compliance with permitting requirements.
  • Conduct a range of field activities, including: Archaeological surveys, Testing and excavation, Surface collection, Monitoring.
  • Prepare archaeological proposals and technical reports, including Phase I/Class I documentation.
  • Provide professional cultural resource recommendations to support project planning.
  • Plan, organize, and lead Phase III/Class III field projects of varying sizes across multiple states.
