About The Position

As a Project Appointment Student in the Department of Dermatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, you will be expected to actively contribute to the advancement of dermatologic research through collaboration, scientific rigor, and professional engagement. Fellows will work within a structured leadership framework and participate in designated research initiatives.

Requirements

  • Must have student status at an accredited educational institution.
  • 0 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of biology, chemistry, toxicology, pharmacology, mathematics, statistics, documentation, records management, data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills.
  • Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication.
  • May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.

  • Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids.
  • Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.

Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to ongoing departmental research projects, with a primary focus on GLODERM (Global Health Dermatology).
  • Coordinate GLODERM mentorship programme activities and other activities as dictated by current needs – including but not limited to executive and steering committees, monthly curriculum sessions, updating website, updating grant applications, and coordination of scientific sessions.
  • Attend and actively engage in monthly research team meetings.
  • Present updates, discuss progress, and contribute to problem-solving and collaborative planning in research team meetings.
