Under the direction of a more Senior Project Manager, this role manages multiple small-sized projects. The Project Analyst is responsible for managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, using appropriate verification techniques to ensure the project plan remains accurate and updated. This includes facilitating customer acceptance and ensuring the project plan reflects authorized project changes as defined in the change management plan. Projects can be technical and/or non-technical. The role involves developing project plans, forecasts, and schedules, and working with stakeholders to define detailed project requirements, constraints, and assumptions. The Project Analyst ensures that project plans include work breakdown, organizational charts, budget, and plans for communication, risk, quality, and resources. They communicate project plans to stakeholders to ensure common understanding and alignment, and oversee the execution of tasks to achieve project goals. This includes managing the budget/forecast, monitoring and controlling project work, and implementing change controls. Performance is measured using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor progress, identify variances, and implement corrective actions. The role also involves mitigating project risks, improving team performance through leadership and motivation, and supporting larger project initiatives. The Project Analyst must adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls, and identify risk-related issues for escalation. Promoting an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand, and maintaining internal control standards are also key responsibilities. Other related duties as assigned.
