About The Position

Witt O’Brien’s is seeking a Project Analyst to join our Project Controls team. The candidate will work in a dynamic team comprised of highly experienced consultants and highly engaged clients to meet fast-paced project requirements and may provide in-person support. The ideal candidate will have supported the controls function — cost, schedule, and reporting — on large scale projects or programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project controls, project coordination, or project analysis supporting projects of varying size and scope in sectors such as institutional, healthcare, educational, or commercial mixed-use.
  • Working knowledge of project scheduling, budget tracking, and reporting methods and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile, interpret, and clearly present data and information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word), and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
  • Able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage the impact of shifting priorities
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize multiple on-going projects
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, reporting, and documentation

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., CAPM, PMI-SP, or equivalent)
  • Prior experience supporting federally funded programs (e.g., FEMA Public Assistance, CDBG-DR, or HMGP) or public sector capital improvement programs

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager and Project Controls team by maintaining accurate, up-to-date project schedules, budgets, and status reporting across multiple facilities and building projects, varying in size and scope.
  • Track project progress against baseline schedules and budgets, identify variances, and flag potential risks or delays to the project team.
  • Prepare and maintain project tracking tools, dashboards, and status reports for internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Compile, analyze, and summarize data from multiple sources to support program reporting requirements and funding agency deliverables.
  • Support the change management process by logging, tracking, and reporting on change orders, requests for information, and related project documentation.
  • Maintain organized project files and records in accordance with document control and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with project team members to gather status updates and ensure data accuracy across schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for project and site meetings, and document and distribute meeting minutes and action items.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project controls processes, templates, and reporting tools.
