Cadence supports many of the largest food/beverage manufacturing companies with facilities located southeast region of the United States by providing them with parts and equipment made by the leading sanitary process equipment manufacturers. The Project Accounting Specialist is critical to the care for our customers and growth of the business. This position is responsible for ensuring the financial obligations of the business are maintained and stay aligned with the requirements of our finance department. This position also provides support for the sales team to allow them to focus on pursuing sales opportunities with clients.

Requirements

  • Detail oriented, highly organized, strong multi-tasking and time management skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • 0 - 3 Years of relevant financial or accounting experience
  • Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is strongly preferred, but not required based on work experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring appropriate project set-up according to Finance guidelines
  • Prepare invoices for parts orders processed by inside sales team
  • Prepare and review client invoices to ensure they are accurate & timely according to the client/project agreement
  • Provide support for inside and outside sales teams for order processing, quote/proposal generation and expediting of vendor purchases
  • Receive equipment/parts orders with drop shipments into the system
  • Provide support for month-end close activities
  • Working with the client to ensure timely collection on invoices
  • Issue POs to vendors for inventory replenishments and equipment needs on projects
  • Track purchases and expedite when needed in order to maintain project deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned
