We are seeking a Project Accountant for immediate hire at our Tullahoma, TN or Bingham Farms, MI offices.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time (90%)
  • Must be able to work at a computer for long periods of time (90%)
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs
  • Must be proficient with office equipment/machines
  • Work is primarily sedentary. Some walking and standing may occur during a normal workday in connection with travel to and from meeting and conferences.
  • May carry light items, such as reports, data products, notebooks and laptops.
  • Must be able to work within the normal daytime shift
  • With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.
  • Must pass drug testing.
  • Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
  • Must embrace Safety principles of Amentum to include; adhering to safe work practices and standards while performing daily tasks, taking responsibility for own and coworkers’ safekeeping and encouraging others to work safely.
  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
  • Must perform work activities requiring interaction, negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others.
  • Must be able to work under supervision and respond appropriately and professionally to criticism from a supervisor.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of query type language and Microsoft Office projects a definite plus.

Responsibilities

  • Financial analysis
  • Project and financial reporting
  • Billing of projects
  • Account Recons
  • Accounts Receivable cash application and cash book maintenance
  • Posting month end close entries and revenue accruals and calculations
  • Additional general ledger and accounting support as needed
  • Ability to use enterprise resource planning software to input and pull information as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
