About The Position

A respected builder with more than 140 years of success and over $4 billion in annual revenue, is seeking a Project Accountant to support a major $50 million data center project in Eastern Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization expanding its footprint in mission-critical and public works construction projects while working alongside experienced project management and accounting teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of construction accounting experience
  • Experience with: Accounts Payable
  • Experience with: Accounts Receivable
  • Experience with: Job Costing
  • Experience with: Progress Billing
  • Experience with: Construction Project Accounting
  • Strong Excel skills including: Pivot Tables
  • Strong Excel skills including: VLOOKUPs
  • Strong Excel skills including: Reporting & Analysis
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Public works construction experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Associate's degree considered with relevant experience)
  • JD Edwards (JDE) experience
  • Sage, Timberline, or other major ERP systems
  • Textura experience
  • Certified Payroll experience
  • Union Payroll experience
  • Knowledge of prevailing wage requirements and L&I regulations
  • Experience working with contractors and subcontractors
  • B2GNow (nice to have)

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction-related Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
  • Process and reconcile project-related financial transactions
  • Perform job costing and project accounting functions
  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly and annual financial close processes
  • Support internal and external audit activities
  • Process weekly union and certified payroll for project employees
  • Track and support progress billings, retention management, and lien releases
  • Work closely with Project Managers across multiple active projects
  • Process subcontractor payments through Textura
  • Generate and analyze financial reports using Excel and ERP systems
  • Review project contracts and documentation within Procore
