About The Position

AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity to join our team of professionals as a Project Accountant in our Phoenix or Los Angeles offices. This role supports moderately complex project(s) under general supervision. The Project Accountant prepares various financial reports, provides analysis and recommendations based on findings, and maintains records according to generally accepted accounting practices. The position also performs audits and generates special financial reports, reviewing projects for accurate revenue recognition. This is a matrixed environment, reporting to the local Project Executive and Regional Controller.

Requirements

BA/BS Business, Finance or relevant curriculum and 2 years of accounting experience or A/AS and 4 years of relevant experience or HSD/GED and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Construction project accounting.
Demonstrated experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience in construction accounting.
Experience with construction financial documentation.
Strong Excel experience.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate ownership of processes.

Nice To Haves

CMiC or Textura experience is preferred.
