About The Position

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Project Accountant to join their team. This role is responsible for managing client and project records, ensuring accurate billing setup, processing modifications, preparing and submitting invoices, and handling client inquiries and collections. Atwell, LLC is a leading consulting, engineering, and construction services firm with a national presence and a diverse project portfolio.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s preferred, in Accounting or an equivalent field.
One to three years or more of experience functioning in a similar capacity.
Must have high level knowledge of Microsoft Office products, automated accounting, and billing systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Deltek Vision a plus.

Responsibilities

Utilize Deltek Vision to create and manage client and project records, including billing setup and project updates.
Review contracts and proposals to ensure accurate project setup in compliance with billing terms.
Process project modifications such as billing term changes, project status updates, time transfers, and inter-project transfers.
Prepare and submit accurate client invoices, incorporating changes documented during Project Manager billing reviews.
Verify the format and content of final invoices for accuracy and completeness.
Submit final invoices to clients in accordance with individual client requirements and contractual obligations.
Issue client statements of account and provide support for client billing inquiries.
Conduct client collection calls and follow up on outstanding receivables as needed.
