About The Position

This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Programs Manager II is responsible for the direction and supervision of the Child Welfare program of the Office of Background Investigations in their assigned duties. This role manages staff to maintain accurate and timely determinations of criminal history records, through the use of critical thinking skills and an understanding of policy and law. The position fosters a positive working environment and maintains excellent customer service. The manager works closely with Child Welfare Services staff to maintain a system of quality improvement, supervises staff completion of background checks for Child Welfare staff placement, and oversees the creation of policy, training, and improvement of processes. The role also involves drafting policies, procedures, and publications, and reviewing proposed legislation for impacts on policy and procedures. The incumbent may act as the office legislative liaison.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and one year of professional experience, OR Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional level experience for each year of the required education.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
