About The Position

This Engineering role can be filled at the Entry, Mid-level, or Senior Engineer level. The AOV/MOV Program Engineer is responsible for the technical oversight, performance, and long‑term reliability of Air‑Operated Valves (AOVs) and Motor‑Operated Valves (MOVs) within the plant. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, design basis documents, and industry standards while providing engineering support for maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and corrective actions. The engineer serves as the program owner, ensuring valve capabilities remain consistent with safety, operability, and licensing commitments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
  • Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
  • 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience (for Mid-level)
  • 5 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience (for Senior Level)

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer in training certification
  • Preferring E2-E3 level candidates at this time

Responsibilities

  • Assure all engineering products prepared are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision
  • Support engineering work functions.
  • Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
  • Own and maintain the AOV/MOV Program, ensuring compliance with design, licensing, regulatory, and industry requirements (NRC, ASME, IEEE, EPRI).
  • Develop, maintain, and revise program documents, calculations, and technical bases.
  • Support audits, inspections, and self‑assessments related to AOV/MOV performance.
  • Establish and oversee periodic testing requirements, acceptance criteria, and methodologies to ensure valve performance meets design and licensing requirements. Review diagnostic data and provide engineering support for troubleshooting as needed.
  • Monitor valve performance data to identify trends and corrective actions; and evaluate test results to guide maintenance strategies and reliability improvements.
