About The Position

Performs software development and maintenance of applications and systems for the organization. Plans and coordinates all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of the organization’s applications. Conducts software coding, testing, debugging, and installation of an organization’s application systems. Documents requirements for databases, applications, and systems. Works closely with customers to document current operating procedures and support their projected operational needs. May serve as an expert in all aspects of software design, development, and maintenance and may support multiple development teams and systems. Responsible for developing, distributing, supporting, enforcing, and integrating best practices and technology standards across the organization. Researches, collects, and reports information on the ability and capacity of products and systems. Allocates programming team resources and set delivery schedule to meet client requirements. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Assists in the formulation of procedures and best practices for users of applications and systems.

Requirements

• Requires Bachelor’s degree; or an Associate’s degree with at least 4 years of experience; or a minimum of 60 semester hours of formal education working towards an associate or bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience; or at least 8 years of experience is required.
• Additional certifications (other than those required for the position) in the area of specialization be substituted for experience or education but varies by certification.
• The degree must be in a relevant technical curriculum and experience must be related to the job duties.
