The Psychology Department at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center provides comprehensive behavior analysis and support, along with psychological services, to residents. Services include behavioral assessment and treatment, staff training in behavior support, participation in interdisciplinary teams, consultation with Center staff, and psychological testing and evaluation. The department also offers clinical and management consulting services to external individuals, groups, and agencies serving individuals with intellectual and related developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Under clinical supervision, the behavioral programming specialist will assist in providing assessment and treatment services to approximately 25 residents with significant intellectual and related developmental disabilities. This includes assisting with behavior assessments, participating in interdisciplinary team processes, aiding a licensed psychologist or behavior analyst in planning and evaluating treatment programs, assisting in tracking and quality assurance of treatment programs, and helping to provide staff training.
