About The Position

Ridgefield Station is seeking a patient, innovative programmer who is creative, friendly, compassionate and organized. This person will be creating, scheduling and implementing therapeutic programs for our a small cohort of Assisted Living residents who are experiencing and adjusting to living with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). Requirements

  • Experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations, preferred
  • Standing, sitting, bending, and transferring residents (with and without assistance)
  • An ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers
  • Punctuality & reliability – Our residents rely on us to assist them with their daily living activities and we expect our associates to deliver on this promise.

Responsibilities

  • Form meaningful relationships with residents and families
  • Help implement and coordinate the balanced daily therapeutic programming schedule for 7 days per week
  • Support with coordination of entertainment including guest lecturers, musicians, and fitness instructors
  • Participate in scheduled outings, ensuring safety of residents on transportation and off-site
  • Assist with support group and educational sessions for families and staff
  • Support with developing monthly newsletter, taking photos, and updating social media
