This position focuses on analyzing, developing, and enhancing the department’s custom desktop and web applications using a variety of programming languages and development tools. The role involves coding, debugging, and testing software with the support of senior technical staff, as well as querying databases to prepare datasets for applications, reports, and spreadsheets. You will work closely with Information Services team members and receive direct guidance from a Senior Application Developer. This position also plays a key role in keeping critical system infrastructure stable and accessible for staff and the public, which aligns with the goals of the state’s Integrated Water Resources Strategy. Your work helps ensure the department’s platforms remain reliable, modern, and capable of supporting Oregon’s long‑term water management needs.
