About The Position

The Programmer Analyst Senior provides technical and consultative support on complex technical matters and leads code development for the Credit Card Servicing product. The role designs, codes, tests, deploys, and supports Java-based solutions within the payments ecosystem, including RESTful APIs built with Java and Spring Boot, full-stack development, DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-enabled container services both on premises and in the cloud. The position contributes to system and business analysis, software and data design, software delivery, and architectural decisions. This includes considerations such as server layout, availability, disaster recovery, database and storage design, data mapping and efficiency, NoSQL and relational data approaches, API design, resilience, logging, and supportability. The role also assists with Kafka adoption and transitions from physical or virtual machines to cloud-run environments and containers, and delivers solutions using DevSecOps tool chains and processes. Working in an agile product model with two-week sprints, the Programmer Analyst Senior collaborates with engineers, architects, vendor partners, and business owners to create a common API layer across data sources and applications. The role implements enterprise services and APIs, develops automated tests, maintains and evolves integration assets, and helps mature development and operational processes.
