The Center for Economic and Social Research (CESR) at the University of Southern California is seeking a Programmer Analyst II to join their dynamic team. This role will lead and contribute to projects within the Program on Global Aging, Health, and Policy (Global Aging Program). The primary responsibilities include designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining complex research programming systems and harmonized datasets. This role also involves building reproducible programming frameworks, monitoring and reviewing code, ensuring consistency across projects, collaborating with researchers to translate policy rules and survey metadata into structured programming logic, validating outputs, and documenting processes. Additionally, the position provides guidance and mentorship to junior programmers, including reviewing their work and establishing coding standards. This is a grant-funded, one-year (renewable) fixed-term position with a hybrid work arrangement.
