This is an important project support role within the Service Centre expansion programme, offering an opportunity to contribute to a significant programme of change across probation services. The postholder will provide practical and structured support to the Programme, with a particular focus on enabling the recruitment and training strategy required to build Service Centre capability and capacity. Working closely with programme leads, regional colleagues and key stakeholders, the role will support the planning, coordination and tracking of activity linked to the movement of service lines from regions into the Service Centre. This will include helping to maintain clear plans, actions and governance products; supporting recruitment activity and onboarding arrangements; and coordinating inputs to training plans so that staff are prepared to deliver new and transferring service lines effectively. The postholder will play an active role in supporting readiness for transition, ensuring that dependencies, risks and issues are captured and escalated appropriately, and that regional interfaces are well managed. The role will require strong organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work at pace across recruitment, training, service transition and wider programme delivery activity.
