About The Position

Children’s Minnesota is seeking a Program Therapist to support both the Lakeville Partial Hospitalization Program and the St. Paul Inpatient Mental Health Unit. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide therapeutic care across two specialized settings, making a significant difference for children, adolescents, and their families. The Mental Health Services program includes partial hospitalization programs and an inpatient mental health unit, providing short-term stabilization services for children and adolescents with acute mental health concerns. These intensive services address symptoms that pose a safety risk or significantly impact daily functioning. The Lakeville Partial Hospitalization Program serves adolescents ages 11-18 with a structured day program. The St. Paul Inpatient Mental Health Unit provides 24/7 psychiatric care for children and adolescents ages 6-18 experiencing acute safety concerns, with a 22-bed unit focused on stabilization and continuity of care. The Program Therapist is primarily responsible for clinical assessments, therapeutic interventions, and care planning. This includes providing individual, group, or family therapy, crisis intervention, resource mobilization, and triage of psychosocial, emotional, or behavioral concerns. Collaboration with a multi-disciplinary care team is essential for developing treatment goals, assessing progress, and planning for discharge or transition. Program Therapists are trained in physical holds and restraints and may be required to support or facilitate them in high-stress situations.
