About The Position

The Part-Time OPTS Program Therapist provides clinical care to adult and geriatric psychiatric patients. Responsibilities include facilitating therapeutic groups and individual sessions, completing psychological assessments, serving as a patient case manager, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team. The Program Therapist provides patient-centered care while maintaining professional boundaries, sound clinical judgment, and compliance with established policies and treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a related mental health field.
  • Current California professional license, as applicable.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with adult psychiatric populations.
  • Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Current CPR and MAB/PART certification, or ability to obtain within the probationary period.
  • Must meet hospital credentialing requirements, as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Complete psychological assessments, evaluations, and clinical documentation.
  • Develop, maintain, and update individualized treatment plans.
  • Serve as case manager for assigned patients.
  • Participate in treatment planning and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes.
  • Assist with crisis intervention and patient de-escalation.
  • Coordinate care with patients, families, physicians, staff, and community resources.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant documentation.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
