PROGRAM THERAPIST MILITARY UNIT (LCSW, LMSW, LPC)
About The Position
Gulfport Behavioral Health System is a 92-bed psychiatric hospital offering child, adolescent, adult, substance abuse, and military service behavioral health programs and treatment services. The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient services for those seeking treatment for mental illness. Join our Social Services Department as a Military Unit Program Therapist for the Patriot Support Program. The Therapist provides, coordinates, documents, and evaluates direct and indirect social services to military inpatients (active duty, veterans and their dependents) along with first responders. This includes individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, case management, treatment planning, rounding with clinical staff, attending/conducting unit and hospital meeting, discharge/care planning and follow-up.
Requirements
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.
- Prefer two (2) years’ experience and in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills.
- Must have strong clinical assessment skills.
- LCSW, LMSW or LPC license to practice in the State of Mississippi preferred.
