About The Position
The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is seeking candidates for Program Support (Aquatics) to assist in aquatic programs and customer service support at Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center. Ideal candidates will have a background in aquatics and feel comfortable assisting in program administration. The district also offers a bilingual pay incentive to staff who regularly utilize their bilingual skills!
Requirements
- Two years in an aquatic specialty area.
- Completion of high school (twelfth grade) plus two years of specialized training equivalent to college coursework.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Current Lifeguard certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate activities to meet program objectives, including developing work plans and schedules.
- Develop and implement program curriculum and provide direction to part-time staff.
- Coordinate center activities with other District programs and external agencies, serving as a liaison to program committees, private industry, and the community.
- Foster a program atmosphere that promotes inclusion and ensures a positive experience for participants.
