Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or equivalent field of study from an accredited college, Master’s level degree preferred
  • At least one (1) year of experience managing others
  • Child Welfare Professional experience and certification if required by the program
  • Active professional licensure in accordance with state therapy licensing requirements if needed by program
  • Demonstrated ability with providing excellent clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills
  • Demonstrated familiarity with utilizing interpreters in a therapeutic setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be reliable with time sensitive deadlines and tasks
  • Must possess an ability and willingness to travel to other Bethany sites to meet staff and families when needed
  • Exercise a high level of confidentiality
  • Must exhibit an ability to apply the principles of logic and critical thinking with problem solving
  • Work well under pressure and adaptable to change
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage staff workload, case assignment, and other needed interventions required by staff to ensure quality services in accordance with agency expectations and program requirements.
  • Oversee the communication of information between the case workers and all parties involved in a case as it relates to all aspects of care and service to the client.
  • Oversee and supervise the on-going assessment of client safety, and permanency and well-being functions.
  • Perform quality checks on the placement and delivery of services by case workers to ensure all internal and external requirements are being met.
  • Oversee, lead, and provide final approval on the development and implementation of all plans designed to meet the needs of the clients.
  • Promote effective operations through hiring, training, and orientation of new hires.
  • Provide oversight of the program through support, training and development of staff.
  • Provide guidance around educational information, referrals, outreach, advocacy, and support when needed.
  • Provide weekly individual and monthly group supervision to assigned staff, while working to build a cohesive team and maintain positive staff morale.
  • Review and ensure timely submission of all direct reports documentation as required by the program.
  • Provide reports and testimony in court, if needed and as requested.
  • Be available to support emergencies, as needed.
  • Attend project team, local and national meetings that will enhance the provision of services to clients.
  • Provide program updates, barriers, and needs to the leadership team.
  • Stay up to date on program related topics, while also completing and coordinating trainings as required by funding sources.
  • Periodically travel to facilities to build and maintain positive working relationships internally and externally, as needed.
  • Ensure all case recording expectations satisfy agency and stakeholder requirements and are accurately recorded.
  • Assist the collaboration between the local partnering offices and staff to ensure open communication and referrals are being assigned accurately and accepted in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of external entities and stakeholders.
  • Ensure monthly billing is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Stay abreast of all agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social services.
  • Essential job responsibilities may vary based on the specific needs of each program/department.
  • May be required or asked to participate in a Bethany sponsored event.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
