About The Position

Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida Tennessee, and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services, and foster care. All Thompson programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0-18) and their families, both virtually and in person. Our values are Excellence, Innovation, Commitment, Caring, and Integrity. As the Family Support Worker (FSW) Program Supervisor and a member of the Case Management Leadership Team, you will provide leadership and oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Family Support Worker team. This role is responsible for supervising, coaching, and developing FSW staff while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, family-centered services. You will foster strong communication and collaboration with Case Management Program Supervisors to support coordinated care and positive outcomes for children and families. You will oversee team workflows, including scheduling and coverage, monitor service delivery and performance outcomes, and ensure all activities are completed accurately, timely, and in alignment with organizational expectations and trauma-informed practices, including Thompson’s CARE principles. The role includes addressing service delivery barriers, guiding problem-solving, and maintaining consistency in practice across the team. A typical day includes reviewing service activity and scheduling needs, conducting supervision and coaching sessions, supporting staff with case-related challenges, and ensuring documentation and service standards are met. As part of the Case Management Leadership Team, you will partner closely with peers to align services, ensure continuity of care, and maintain effective cross-team communication. Additional responsibilities may include managing staff schedules and coverage, supporting staff development, participating in leadership and quality review meetings, and responding to urgent family or program needs.
