Be a part of something truly special. Under the supervision of the SHAPE Program Manager, the Yates Program Supervisor is responsible for general supervision of Child and Family Support Workers. Along with the SHAPE Program Manager, the Yates Program Supervisor will support the growth and development of the SHAPE Program. They will work collaboratively with all individual agencies for purposes of honoring contracts and potential expansion of services.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in human services field preferred.
Valid NY State Driver License and access to a reliable vehicle
A minimum of five years of education/human services experience, including working with mental health or child welfare.
Relevant years of experience and education will be considered
Adheres to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations including, but not limited to, those governing confidentiality, privacy, program, billing, and documentation standards.
All duties must be performed in accordance with CCFCS’s corporate compliance & ethics program.

Responsibilities

Supervisory tasks of Steuben DSS SHAPE & Recruitment
Assists in recruitment
Review progress notes weekly
Carries a caseload of 1
Supervision of the Community Services Program (Skill Building)
Assists in recruitment and training of staff
Assures program staff paperwork is accurate and correlates with timesheets
Supervises program staff including awareness of weekly schedules and monitoring staff performance
Attends monthly meetings with funding agency
Provides guidance with crisis intervention when needed
Supervision of the Kids Adventure Time Program
Assists in interviewing, development of training and training of summer staff
Secures field trip locations and transportation
Submits proper PO forms for each field trip to ensure timely payment
Reviews and submits weekly timesheets for all KAT staff
On site once daily, when able to and available during operating hours
Maintains an organizational system that allows the program to have contacts, contract, and other needed data available year to year
Renew KAT DOH permit yearly
Complete monthly and yearly reports for funding agency
Works with Program Manager to implement professional development based on identified needs of individuals or entire staff
Recommends personnel actions such as selection of new staff, promotion, evaluation, staffing patterns, and discipline up to and including discharge
Assists with developing policies, procedures and protocols as needed to efficiently carry out program activities
Makes sure all staff have materials and training needed to perform all aspects of their work, efficiently and effectively.
Becomes familiar with all service agencies in the respective counties and how to effectively access those services for families.
Works in conjunction with collaborating agencies and the Program Manager to explore development of a new range of services to maximize resources for family development.
Assures all contract requirements are met.
Carries a caseload, as necessary, that requires weekly visitation and crisis intervention in the client’s home environment. That includes schools, homes, clinics and other related sites.
Monitors program budgets.
Completes other duties as assigned
