About The Position

The Program Specialist is essential to supporting the delivery of Premier Community Health (PCH) services to both workplace wellness clients and community members across Southwest Ohio. This position serves as the primary coordinator for scheduling and managing events, maintaining ongoing communication with clients from the initial contact through event delivery. Additionally, the Program Specialist is responsible for coordinating event staffing, including assigning team members, confirming availability, and ensuring adequate coverage for all scheduled events. PCH partners with a wide range of organizations, including businesses, manufacturing facilities, schools, and government agencies. Community-based partnerships extend to barbershops and salons, churches, and additional organizations dedicated to improving community wellbeing. This role is ideal for a highly organized, personable professional that is adaptable, thinks critically, and works well with others across teams. Strong communication, attention to detail and flexibility to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment are essential. Daily use of project management platforms and other software tools is essential for this role, so proficiency with computer skills is a necessity.

Requirements

  • High School completion / GED
  • Office Applications proficiency (position specific testing requirement)
  • 1 - 3 years of job-related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Forms
  • Willing to learn new analytics software
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationship with partners
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to deliver clear email correspondence to capture event planning details
  • Comfortable coordinating schedules to plan wellness programming campaigns
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Able to anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts independently
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Able to remain composed, flexible, and solution-focused in fast-paced settings or when faced with changing priorities
  • Action-oriented, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of service
  • Experience using software applications for event planning purposes
  • Reliable transportation, accurate contact information and a valid Ohio driver’s license
