About The Position

The Program Specialist is responsible for leading and executing Walmart GM and Fashion program activities across the AME region while serving as a key liaison between Walmart, suppliers, and internal Bureau Veritas teams. This role involves assisting with program management, driving program changes, and maintaining a strong understanding of Walmart program requirements and priorities. The specialist will clearly understand account priorities and initiatives, using structured project planning to ensure successful execution and alignment with Walmart objectives. They will serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for Walmart US GM and Fashion, providing day-to-day support, issue resolution, and communication, while also acting as the global account POC for WMCA to ensure cross-regional alignment. The role includes monitoring program performance across the AME region by tracking KPIs, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring consistent delivery across internal teams and laboratories in partnership with Asia PSD. Responsibilities include monthly status reports to Walmart and monitoring program changes holistically by coordinating with the Asia PSD, technical teams, and all stakeholders. The specialist will provide regular internal and client-facing updates, including progress reviews, presentations, and key messaging. Additionally, the role oversees critical operational processes such as Walmart Testing Mailbox management, Retail Link Administration, Mill ID Assignment, Walmart OSC Account Management, Walmart Bulletin Distribution, Weekly OSC API Upload Audit process, and the Failure disposition escalation process. The Program Specialist will monitor testing and quality activities by working with labs, suppliers, and retail stakeholders to track product testing, review reports, and manage deviations or failures through root cause analysis and resolution. A key aspect of the role is to continuously simplify and improve processes, tools, and documentation to enhance efficiency and program effectiveness. This role requires regular presence at the Walmart Home Office Regional Location and demands a high level of professionalism, discretion, and situational awareness. The individual must be observant and respectful while operating within Walmart’s corporate environment. Responsibilities include reviewing laboratory test reports, articulating findings to Walmart Stakeholders, and tracking/resolving customer complaints and testing deviations, which may involve communication with product vendors, manufacturers, brokers, testing labs, and retail client QA/Merchandising/warehouse stakeholders. The role also requires attending meetings with the BV lab & retail client, both scheduled and unscheduled, and performing other tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Minimum of four years working experience in total.
  • Experience in program management in consumer product testing, quality assurance, process/quality engineering or design for manufacturability.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, discretion, and situational awareness.
  • Must be observant and respectful while operating within Walmart’s corporate environment.
  • Ability to articulate findings from laboratory test reports.
  • Ability to track and resolve customer complaints and testing deviations.
  • Ability to investigate deviations to determine root cause and communicate with product vendors, manufacturers, brokers, testing labs, and retail client QA/Merchandising/warehouse stakeholders.
