About The Position

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable program specialist to lead our teen technology camp at the Tuckahoe Family YMCA. Program themes will focus on career exploration, teen leadership development, cross-cultural storytelling, and building life skills. STEM and leadership development experience is preferred. This part-time position will be 15-20 hours per week between 6/22/26-8/6/26. Starting pay is $17/hr.

Requirements

• At least one year of related experience.
• At least six months experience working with youth.
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and technology skills.
• Strong relationship building, mentoring, communication and leadership skills.
• Commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and service to diverse populations.

Nice To Haves

• STEM and leadership development experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with two Regional Directors of Community Outreach and the Regional Teen Director to plan, facilitate, and evaluate the Teen Technology Camp.
• Plan and facilitate curriculum and making real-world connections.
• Monitor participant progress and making adjustments.
• Work to create a safe and productive learning environment.
• Supervise students in day-to-day activities as well as special functions, such as field trips.
