What You'll Do and Who We Are Looking For Location: Sylvania and Rock Creek on site. Rare opportunity for remote work. Schedule: Monday through Friday - 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Some evenings and weekends. Some overnight travel. Provides program support for the Student Basic Needs program, reporting directly to the Program Dean of Student Basic Needs. Supports the hiring of student leaders on sustainability initiatives and services that support students basic needs at PCC including Food Pantries, Food Justice Programming and Education, Transportation Access, Bike Programs, and Eco Social Justice Grants. Provides support for a broad range of activities and programs that further the goals of Portland Community College’s student basic needs and sustainability initiatives and efforts to increase food security, health and climate justice. May track budgets, payroll, hiring, and employment. Helps with programming events on campus, including logistics (room, AV, and food), supports student leadership training, may attend conferences as student chaperone, takes minutes at meetings as assigned. Works with accounts payable, payroll and FMS to contract and pay vendors, oversee assigned projects, pay students staff or contractors. Provides daily and ongoing support to student leaders, work-study students and casual employees. Excellent customer service skills for campus and community members. General office management duties.or Basic Needs and work at an assigned campus. Travel around the district is required.
