About The Position

This full-time position for the 2026-2027 school year involves serving as a Program Specialist in Special Education. The role requires a deep understanding of various special education needs, behavior interventions, and discipline procedures. The specialist will also stay current with recent developments in special education, including collaboration, technology use, assessment, and positive behavior interventions. The position is for 186 work days with a salary range of $142,319 - $166,492 annually. Requirements

  • Eligible to apply for or holds a valid California Administrative Services credential
  • Holds appropriate teaching/certificated related services credential(s)
  • Master's Degree
  • Prior experience in providing direct services to exceptional children
  • Prior experience with behavior interventions
  • Prior experience with a clear understanding of special education discipline procedures
  • Detailed knowledge of the learning disabled, the communicatively delayed, the physically impaired, autistic, and the emotionally disturbed
  • Knowledge of recent developments in special education (i.e. collaboration, use of technology, curriculum based assessment, positive behavior interventions, discipline procedures)
  • Experience may include teaching, counseling, librarian, and psychologist

  • Three (3) current signed letters of recommendation (signed and dated within two years of date of application)
  • Letter of Introduction/Interest relevant to this position

Nice To Haves

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is preferred
  • Some teaching experience is preferred
