About The Position

Pinnacles Prep is committed to providing a meaningful education to all students, cultivating curious, confident, and self-directed individuals ready for college, career, and community leadership. The school is small by design, focusing on individual student needs, high expectations guided by EPIC core values (Equity, Purpose, Integrity, Collaboration), and intentional diversity in staff and students. The curriculum emphasizes place-based interdisciplinary projects rooted in the Wenatchee Valley. As a Special Education Specialist, you are expected to have an asset-based mindset, value authentic relationships by mentoring 15 students daily and communicating with parents weekly, and maintain high expectations for all students. You should be passionate about the school's mission and vision, possess a growth mindset, advocate for student voice and choice, and be data-driven and collaborative. The role involves attending a 2-week summer institute for training and family visits. During school days, you will co-plan and co-teach to provide accommodations and specially designed instruction for scholars with IEPs, support their daily goals, and mentor 15-20 students in the Basecamp advisory program, focusing on SEL curriculum and holistic development.
