About The Position

This position assists the division’s staff in the support and coordinates efforts to enhance the effectiveness of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs at both the secondary and postsecondary levels. This position supports the division in implementing initiatives, managing data systems, and providing technical assistance related to industry certifications and non-degree credentials of value, ensuring alignment with state and federal guidelines, including Perkins V implementation.

Requirements

  • Two to Four years of professional experience in CTE or an equivalent role in workforce education.
  • Two to Four years of professional experience working in/with federal and/or state laws.
  • Ability to communicate effectively including verbal and written communication.
  • Experience in creating and conducting training courses.
  • Experience with public speaking
  • Ability to provide work samples of writing skills for grammar, editing and communication review upon request.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex information systems and databases tracking Perkins-recognized credentials across secondary and postsecondary institutions.
  • Assist with statewide data collection processes for industry certifications and conduct detailed analysis for informed decision-making.
  • Update and maintain Information in databases for reporting on certifications, digital tool certificates, Perkins industry recognized credentials.
  • Assist with internal and interagency reviews of non-degree credential submissions for the Perkins accountability, Credentials Review Committee and Career and Professional Education Act.
  • Prepare annual summaries of performance on industry certification attainment to support program evaluation and improvement.
  • Manage the communications email for the industry certification process and coordinate responses with appropriate staff members.
  • Performs related work as required.

  • The employee must interact courteously with others.
  • The employee’s performance and behavior must demonstrate consideration of the workload concerns of others and must not negatively affect productivity and morale of the unit.
